A Constructor’s Cycle Experience

Transport for London (TfL) have adopted the Healthy Streets Approach to help make London’s diverse communities greener, healthier and more attractive places to live, work, play and do business. Part of the Healthy Streets approach is to encourage more walking, cycling and use of public transport. To maintain these aspirations we require assistance from all our partners and stakeholders.

London’s population is rising significantly requiring the construction of more development to cope with demand. This means more roadwork, HGV traffic, dust, noise and safety concerns for the travelling public especially for those that walk and/or cycle. It is paramount to ensure the construction methods implemented do not deter people from using such sustainable modes.

A Constructor’s Cycle Experience

This is a top down approach that involves inviting senior management including directors and CEOs, to experience the benefits of protected cycling and how important it is to ensure they are maintained. This is followed with a presentation on methods that can assist contractors to apply all inclusive measures during works.

Our Expectations

  • You enjoy the ride and get to sample all the benefits of safe and secure facilities.
  • You commit to taking a serious approach to public health and safety during any highway interventions your company is involved with.
  • You supply feedback on your experience and share positive actions post cycling experience (see testimonials)
